Mayor’s Holiday Push for Cans-A-Plenty
As the year comes to an end and the December holiday season begins to light-up, the Interfaith Food Pantry elves are hustling, bustling, and stocking the shelves in preparation for food distribution to appreciative individuals, children and families during a very busy Christmas week.
“Cans of fruit, soups, vegetables and boxes of cereal are needed…actually BOGO items of any sort are welcomed!” reflects Mayor Leslie Waters.
The Interfaith Food Pantry provided 11,587 meals during November to 518 families, 845 adults, and 425 children.
“As you can see by the November stats, there is a big need,” says Vie Thompson, Director, Interfaith Food Pantry.” “All contributions this holiday season will certainly be appreciated.”
Drop-off spots are:
Seminole City Hall – next to the Post Office, 113th Street
Interfaith Food Pantry @ Aldersgate Methodist Church, Starkey Road.
